The network of roads connecting the Fellside villages and the communities of the Eden Valley provide excellent cycling and there are interesting routes, relatively traffic-free, on either side of the A66 and the River Eden. Route 68 on the National Cycle Network passes through Dufton. To see the scope, it is only necessary to scroll Google Maps. Bridleways can be cycled, but some are not as well-defined as the maps might suggest.
