Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Jubilee Celebrations were brilliant. Villagers enjoyed group walks around the Ghyll and Pike, there was a great BBQ and big screen broadcast of the national concert, followed by a singer at The Stag. Children enjoyed the sports and the Jubilee Lunch attracted a good crowd. The Pudding Competition had 19 entries, so Matt, the judge, had to be wheeled home! Trophies were awarded for sports and puddings. The pudding competition will become an annual feature. Thanks to all who helped organise the celebrations. The subsequent death of the Queen has given an added significance to these celebrations.
